The Torkster was extensively tested with the following objectives:

Torkster Pro

  • Adapter and insert must be able to withstand enough torque to break a new ½” Grade 8 bolt without damage.

Torkster Classic/Torkster Mini:

Adapter and insert must be able to withstand enough torque to break a new ½” Grade 5 bolt without damage. tools

Torkster Pro/Torkster Classic

  • The rear drive ½” square drive opening should be able to withstand at least 30 minutes of continuous hammering from an impact wrench without any detectable wear.

Torkster Pro/Torkster Classic/Torkster Mini

  • Using any combination of the square drive and ½” pipe inputs, the adapter should be able to break the insert with no damage to the adapter.

At the time of this publication, March, 2018, both the Torkster Classic and Torkster Pro have met these requirements. In fact, during testing of the Torkster Pro, we actually broke the vise that was holding the work! The Torkster Mini testing should be done by July, 2018.
